February - March

(or as the season dictates)

Our fig orchards comprise almost 12,000 trees of 5 main varieties: Archipal, Deanna, Spanish Desert, Brown Turkey and Black Genoa. In the 25 years that we’ve been at Glen Ewin, we have never sprayed the figs with any chemicals and employ organic management practices wherever we can.

The Fig Season is Short but Sweet, it generally commences mid-February and ends in March. You are welcome to visit our orchard to pick your own.

How it works:

  1. Check our Facebook event page to confirm we are open before you come.

  2. Pay $5 per person (children under 12 are free) at the Fig Bar upon arrival. You will be given a wristband and a box.

  3. Wander through the orchard and pick as many figs as you like (don’t forget your family and friends).

  4. Go back to the Fig Bar, where you will pay for the figs you pick ($10.00 per kg).

Please note:

  • Last entry to the orchard is strictly 1 hour prior to the orchard closing time

  • Please always check the Facebook event page to confirm we are open before coming, to avoid disappointment

  • As we are a licensed, fully catered venue, no external food or beverage is permitted into the Estate.
